Open Mic Night Highlights
This year's open mic night came to a spectacular close, with over a billion acts that seemed to all blur together. But as always, the acts involving the Blue Boys were crowd favorites.
First up was the absolute live highlight of the night. Choreographed by the great Laura Sims and Kimmmiey Bostedo dance duo along with OA's own Big Willey, the GYP's cut several, no, MANY rugs in an amazing display of "Evolution of Dance"-esque routines, easily topping their 2007 performance.
And finally, the music video that won it all. Watch and weep.

Buckets and Bongos '08
The precursor to the Blue House Blues House Band, Buckets and Bongo's preformed at an open mic night about a year ago to rave reviews.
"...played with passion and grace, the most notable performance of the night (and for the second year in a row) went to Old Azul's 'Buckets and Bongos'...and it goes without saying that (Bandleader Alex) Davis is such a good looking guy."
-The New York Sun-Post Times Weekly
In honor of our upcoming open mic performance, here is the two minutes which will live in infamy. Note the women (mostly Mary Ann Lovern) screaming wildly in the audience.
